About Jeff Nance
Jeffrey Nance began his marketing, advertising and public relations career with an advertising agency in Boston, Massachusetts. As an Account Supervisor, Mr. Nance led the marketing and advertising programs for clients in retail, financial services, healthcare, package goods, sportswear and ski wear.
After leaving Boston, Mr. Nance has held positions in marketing management at Fortune 50, high growth and franchise companies in consumer products, retail and non-profit categories. As a Director of Marketing, Mr. Nance led marketing teams in the development of innovative and award winning national and regional marketing and advertising programs. His diverse marketing experience includes every aspect of marketing from entertainment product placement, TV program development, public relations to social media, web site development and managing Indianapolis 500 Race Car sponsorship programs.
Both an accomplished marketing/sales strategist
and creative copywriter, he has won four national Telly Awards and a New York Film Festivals for his TV commercials. He consulted on the Emmy winning program Wings Over Indiana. His retail
marketing campaigns have been featured in national publications and in books on creative
advertising strategy used at the university level. He is a sought-after speaker on marketing, advertising, branding and media at the university level and at association conferences.
After moving to Los Angeles to care for a family member with Alzheimer’s, Mr. Nance became a volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association of Los Angeles. Using his personal experience, he became a founding board member of PALZ, Project Alzheimer’s. PALZ is devoted to helping young professionals who are affected by a family member with Alzheimer’s. Mr. Nance volunteered his marketing expertise and enlisted the help of actors and media personalities David Hyde Pierce (Fraiser), Victor Garber (stage, TV, movies), Bryan Cranston (Malcolm in the Middle & Breaking Bad), Shelley Fabares and Leeza Gibbons to help bring awareness to the PALZ mission. PALZ was awarded the 2006 John Breuer Memorial Volunteer Award.
For five years, Mr. Nance served at the volunteer Indiana representative for the American Chronic Pain Association. In this role, he met with pain management practices to promote the resources of the ACPA. Organized chronic pain support groups throughout Indiana and trained group leaders.
Mr. Nance was elected Vice President of the Executive Committee, Board of Directors of the USS Indianapolis Museum project. He provided his marketing expertise in the areas of strategic planning, public relations and fundraising to help create a museum to celebrate the 13-year history of World War II cruiser. He was invited by the United States Navy to serve on the Steering Committee to plan the first Indianapolis Navy Week and received the honor of attending the Navy “Leaders at Sea” civilian program.
An accomplished standup comedian, Jeff donates his time, producing comedy shows and performing at fundraising and charitable events. Mr. Nance enjoys aviation, music, theater, WWII history, nature and conservation, long distance cycling, hiking, kayaking, fishing, playing hockey. He has two daughters working on advance degrees.
